I started Diesel on Wednesday doing stock. Everyone who I've met so far is nice and I have no complaints. It's something where you go in and get your job done and then split. My fellow stock workers are, Niel, who is the Stock Supervisor and Seon, a fellow stocker. Niel is orginally from Trinidad and he wears his dreads in a huge blue turban which, now that I think about it, looks a lot like Marge Simpson. He still has that El Caribe accent and it reminds me of South Florida. One of the great advantages to the stock room is we're allowed to jam music as loud as we want. This really helps the day go by fast. I haven't felt the effects of slowness yet. I feel like there's something constantly to keep my mind occupied with tasks. Think of a stock room as being a constant disaster awaiting to be organized. Repeat. Repeat. The free clothes are nice.
What am I doing playing that banjo up there? Franco and I are working on a concept-themed music project. Progress is slow due to our work schedules but the sound we're producing is exciting and it's the most creative thing I've been involved in with another musician. That picture above is probably the best way to illustrate what we're making.
