One more year until 2010

This is my first post of 2009. I made a lot of personal achievements in 2008.

1.) Graduated from College
2.) Moved to New York City
3.) Making music with my good friend, Franco.
4.) Sailed all over the country and learned a lot about sailing.

I'm sure there's some more that I have forgotten but those are the noticeable ones.

On a musical note (get the pun? Ha...), while I was in school, I thought if I would ever be in another band. During this time, I was musically fed up with what I was playing before and needed a rebirth so to speak. I studied David Gilmour religiously--his economical style of playing seemed like a perfect fit for me. The man can get so many notes out of just one fret. In the past, I never really looked up to another musician. I really connected with his methods of getting that iconic tone of his. Since we've (Spaces) written our first couple of songs, I feel like this is some of the most touching music I've written in my life. I'm only 23. I've been playing for 10 years and still know very little. Franco and I do it for personal satisfaction and we're only interested in sharing that satisfaction with whoever wants hear. Franco and I have talked about this feeling when we first started and the fact that we have so much freedom to do whatever and not be tied down to one specific genre makes it even more exciting. We have a lot of ideas for our coming songs. I think we're releasing January's song on Wednesday. I'm very proud of it. There were some times where I would go weeks without playing. I'm sorry guitar. I think she's forgiving me.

This is my new bike, Tamale. She has a great personality and she's a fast rider.

what an accomplishment with your music. It is really something that you taught yourself how to play the guitar at age 13. Nothing is stopping you now... Your guitar is happy you are back, I can't wait to hear the new stuff!! I have been listening to Luther VanDross Greatest Hits , I could listen to it over and over again my whole life!
